October is an amazing month. There’s halloween. There’s the beginning of fall. There’s even this crazy thing called InkTober. There’s also Breast Cancer Awareness.
So, let’s start with InkTober. I’ve seen a couple variations, mostly revolving around Halloween and ghosts and all that fun, scary stuff. But this (evidently) is an official thing. So, I challenge everyone to give it a shot. Try to get all 31 (well, now 28) days complete. Technically, the rules are as follows: Use Pen/Ink. Share it on your personal social media platform (I, Sean, usually go with Twitter or Instagram: @skerr1932). And use the hashtags #inktober and/or #inktober2016.
A quote directly from the official page: “Note: you can do it daily, or go the half-marathon route and post every other day, or just do the 5K and post once a week. What ever you decide, just be consistent with it. INKtober is about growing and improving and forming positive habits, so the more you’re consistent the better.”
Secondly: the challenge this week, the color PINK!
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the challenge is the utilize the color pink. In any way, shape, or form.
Remember: have fun!
Anyone is welcome to join in on this adventure. Please follow these simple steps to send in your drawings and participate.
To be honest, I didn’t know how i was going to add pink. I thought of doing a splash of acrylic paint and doing something abstract, but then I started drawing and it just came together. I utilized Copic Markers for the addition of color. – STKerr
