2017 Week 4: That Which Surrounds Us

We all have our spaces in which we choose to work. Sometimes it is a studio space. Other times it is a really comfortable chair. Or a local hang out place. Or a kitchen table. A desk. The floor. Artist create art wherever they find themselves, but we all love that one spot to work. It gives us the most peace and comfort to allow the creative juices to flow.

This week, it’s all about the work space. Locate the spot that is most comfortable for you to create stuff. Draw it.

Look at what’s in front of you and put it onto the page. That is this weeks drawing challenge.

Don’t get intimidated about trying to get every detail perfect, but let your personality flow through what you choose to surround yourself with. If it makes you more comfortable, think of it as a still life. Either way, while you are drawing, remember to smile and have fun!

If you are interested in joining in on this crazy journey, please follow these simple steps to submit in your drawings to be shared!

I do most of my work at the table in my apartment. While I also use the second room as an art studio, I tend to use it only when painting. – STKerr
