Weeks 32 and 33: Diptych

A Diptych is an artwork consisting of two panels. It’s not just a series of two separate images, but a single composition that stretches across multiple surfaces, creating a single work of art across multiple surfaces.

Last week, we forgot to post a challenge, so the challenge is to do two drawings that create a diptych.

If time is an issue, sketch out a diptych. Do the prep work in your sketchbook. Begin to put life into the idea.

If you want to challenge yourself even more, try to create a finished, more refined work of art. Or stretch yourself even farther and attempt a Triptych (a series of three).

But no matter what, remember to have fun and be yourself!

If you are interested in joining in, even if it is your first time, we’d love to have you join us. Please follow these simple steps to submit in your drawings to be shared!
